A vegan food festival is headed to Expo 2020 Dubai



The first vegan food festival in the Middle East will take over Expo 2020 Dubai from 14 to 30 January 2022.

The exciting culinary experience at Festival Garden (close to the Malaysia Pavilion) will showcase plant-based food in association with Vegan Days.

During the festival, hungry diners can indulge in sweet and savoury dishes from global tastemakers, including Michelin rated chef Matthew Kenney and local street food legends Papa Burty's, known for their vegan Jamaican vegan patties. 

The festival site offers visitors an eco-marketplace filled with sustainable stalls, entertainment, chefs talks and an incredible lineup of DJ's until 2am each night. Guests can also visit Botany Lab, a fully vegan and organic spa focusing on enhancing the skin's beauty with non-invasive treatments.

Chuck Chick – Vegan burgers

Inspired by the excitement of 1950's Americana, Chuck Chick brings the youthful creativity of diner classics with the modern need for a greener planet. Sink your teeth into The Classic Cheeseburger, a Southern Fried Chick Burger, Classic Dogs or loaded fries.

Erpingham House – The UK's largest plant-based restaurant

The UK's biggest plant-based restaurant will be serving up tacos, baos, burgers and salads for the first time in the region. The concept founded by vegan entrepreneur Loui Blake is built on promoting healthy, sustainable foods and a plastic-free environment.

Evergreen Organics - Qatar's first fully vegan café

Floozie Cookies – Vegan stuffed cookies

Created by pastry chef Kimberly Lin, Floozie Cookies offers signature "stuffed cookies" in five flavours, plus a sixth seasonal option. The UK-based brand has two locations at Expo 2020 Dubai serving up the vegan stuffed cookies.

Holy Carrot - Asian-inspired vegan dishes

Holy Carrot is a UK plant-based restaurant serving Asian-inspired dishes with an international influence. They use only natural ingredients and focus on ethically sourced, seasonal produce, prepared in a mindful manner. Holy Carrot care about what you consume, which is why their dishes are gluten-free, sugar-free as well as being free from preservatives and additives.

Mylk - Vegan chocolate and ice cream

Mylk is a 100% vegan chocolate and ice cream concept store based in Qatar. Mylk offers healthier alternatives with a selection of handcrafted ice creams and chocolates, an all-natural alternative that is preservative, additive, stabiliser, sweetener, soy and gluten-free.

The brand will debut in the region at Expo 2020 Dubai's vegan food festival with a mission to show the world how delicious vegan pizza can be while creating innovative food designed to help people discover plant-based cuisine.

Elsewhere at Expo 2020 Dubai, Veganuary will be celebrated at Alkebulan with a tern-day pop up with Chef Glory Kabe, ADRIFT Burger Bar will make any burger vegan for the month and Mangrove Philippine Cuisine, Melbourne Lane, The Local Aussie Grill, Skymarket, XYST and Kutir will all have a selection of vegan options.

The Vegan Food Festival at Expo 2020 Dubai takes place at Festival Garden, Wadi Avenue, Jubilee Park between 14 and 30 January, from 12pm to 2am.
