The American boxer launched the gym to train new talent. 

Are you ready to rumble? The American boxer Mike Tyson has opened a boxing centre in Riyadh. The Mike Tyson Boxing Club aims to discover new talent in the region and is currently accepting applications. So, if you think you have the skill, here’s what you need to know. 

Mike Tyson Boxing Club launched as part of Riyadh Season 2023. The boxer also featured in the festival’s promotional advertisements While the club has his name and backing, you won’t be trained by the man himself. Instead, the award-winning boxing trainer Joe Gallagher will oversee the centre. 

The venue is located in BLVD City Sports Zone. The 1,400-square-metre gym brings together expert trainers and talent. To register, participants must complete an online form at mtbcriyadh.com. Successful applicants will receive a monthly bonus, and the deadline is 31 December.

If you love boxing, then head to Riyadh. The capital is home to spectacular sporting events. Boxing superstars are heading to The Day of Reckoning event, which takes place on 23 December in Kingdom Arena. The event sees the two-time World Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua go up against WBA Continental heavyweight title holder Einar Wallin. The event also sees WBC heavyweight Deontay Wilder take on WBO heavyweight Joseph Parker. Plus, it previously hosted Rage on the Red Sea, which saw the much-anticipated rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk.

The Mike Tyson Boxing Club is open daily from 10am to 11pm.
