Red Sea Global’s new video shows Ummahat Islands is almost complete

The megaproject will be welcoming guests soon.

Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea megaproject is one of the most ambitious developments in the country. The site boasts impressive developments, from regenerative tourism initiatives to five-star hotels. If you're having a hard time imagining it all, Red Sea Global has released a video of Ummahat Islands and it has got us excited.

Red Sea Global shared the progress of Ummahat Islands. The video shows the resorts being constructed, and the surrounding sea, beaches and coral reefs. The islands are home to two resorts: St. Regis Red Sea Resort and Nujuma, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve. The St. Regis Red Sea Resort is 93 per cent complete, and Nujuma, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve is 87 per cent complete

St. Regis Red Sea Resort marks the brand’s introduction into Saudi Arabia, and it brings Maldives-like luxury to the country. The high-end resort boasts 90 overwater and beachfront villas, each with a private pool. The site will also be home to a water sports centre. Plus, it will offer sailing, windsurfing or kayaking through mangrove forests.

Nujuma, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve will include a state-of-the-art diving centre and offers undersea activities. Visitors will be able to go to some of the world’s most untouched archipelagos. Plus, excursions include diving lessons, deep-sea heritage diving excursions and snorkelling around the outer reef.

Upon completion, The Red Sea Project aims to cover 28,000 kilometres of islands, beaches, deserts, mountains and even volcanos. Plus, it plans to have no waste-to-landfill or single-use plastic, and be 100 per cent carbon neutral.

We can’t wait to check in.
