Clinique La Prairie will open a wellness resort in The Red Sea's Amaala

Wellness has a new home in the Kingdom.

If you thought wellness was just for grown-ups, think again. Located between Neom and The Red Sea, Amaala promises to be an all-year-round family wellness destination that forms part of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy.

The project is pitching itself as the world's first integrated family wellness destination. Upon completion, it plans to attract tourists to the kingdom. So far, we know that it will be home to 3,000 hotel rooms, residences and state-of-the-art recreational facilities.

The first resort to be announced for the Saudi megaproject is Clinique La Prairie. The resort, which was unveiled via Instagram, is anchored around the pursuit of longevity. A central plaza symbolises this focus, with each of the resort's distinctive pillars represented in four distinct areas: medical care, nutrition, movement and wellbeing. These areas offer a range of activities and facilities, including juice bars, a cooking school, private training rooms, and cryo chambers.

Beyond these core areas, the resort will offer a range of amenities designed to foster relaxation and self-discovery. Visitors can explore the on-site museum, unwind at the beach club, participate in workshops, or enjoy private dining spaces.

Whether seeking medical care or simply looking to improve their overall wellbeing, guests of Clinique La Prairie will be able to experience a holistic approach to wellbeing that is both comprehensive and rejuvenating.

Clinique La Prairie will offer synergistic treatments to rejuvenate inside and out. The medical pillar will include advanced diagnostics lab and radiology, physio, neuroscience, dermo, aesthetics, and dentistry. On the wellbeing side the destination will provide cryochamber, hyperbaric suites, IV infusion and a series of next-generation therapies to be unveiled, all of which contribute to Amaala’s standing as a distinctive wellness destination.

Clinique La Prairie was founded in 1931 by Dr. Paul Niehans in Montreux, Switzerland. The clinic has since become a symbol of luxury and wellbeing, offering various treatments, from medical consultations to wellness programs, anti-ageing treatments and beauty therapies.

Simone Gibertoni, CEO of Clinique La Prairie, stated: “At Amaala, we are creating the most important Health and Longevity-focused resort ever developed. We’re delighted to be building our very first full-scale destination in such an extraordinary setting and to help bring Red Sea Global’s vision of regenerative, ultra-luxury tourism to life.”

Amaala's Clinique La Prairie Resort forms part of the Triple Bay Project, one of three sites in Prince Mohammed bin Salmon Natural Reserve that form Amaala. At Triple Bay, guests can enjoy a yacht club, recreational activities, a sports performance academy and the world's first immersive marine centre: The Red Sea Life Marine Institute.
