India's leading bar is joining forces with MASTI

If only all takeovers were this exciting.

It may be Wednesday, but a four-day bar takeover is bringing about that weekend feeling a lot sooner. Starting tonight, Sidecar – recognised across India as the country's best bar – will join forces with MASTI. This new takeover represents the second bar takeover for the beloved Indian-fusion eatery, which welcomed Lebanese bartender Jad Ballout of Beirut's Electric Bing Sutt earlier this year.

The brainchild of Yangdup Lama and Marakshi Singh, two of India's most prominent F&B and mixology creatives, Sidecar is a progressive bar located in New Delhi and famed for its artisanal cocktails made using in-house bitters, syrups, grogs and tinctures. Incidentally, it's the only bar in India to make the World's Best Bar list as a result of its innovative approach to mixology, which draws inspiration from Indian flavours while catering to a global palate. Classic, timeless, subtle, remarkable – to say Sidecar continues to set the new standard for mixology in India is an understatement.

India's leading bar

During the takeover, guests can expect one-of-a-kind artisanal cocktails co-created by Sidecar head mixologist Ranveer Kumar and MASTI Head Bar Manager Jeet Verma, embodying the powerhouse duo's signature styles. A native of Delhi, Brar has participated in prestigious competitions like the Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition and the Diageo World Class Competition. Where he used his creative vision and unequivocal mixology skills to gain global recognition.

The takeover's beverage menu will feature four show-stopping new additions such as The Darjeeling Mail in addition to the floral and aromatic Side Car. Priced at AED 65, the beverages will be available for dinner service every evening across the four days. But that's not all – a themed brunch based around the four cocktails will take place on Saturday, 13 November, making for an exhilarating culmination to this exciting takeover.

Speaking of the takeover, Verma says, "At MASTI, we strive to be the best in terms of our food and beverage. To be the best, we must learn from the best, which led us to team up with Sidecar. Sidecar has made waves in the industry, both in India and globally. As an Indian-fusion concept, this takeover means a great deal to us at MASTI and allows us to learn and also rediscover our roots in terms of mixology. It is a tremendous honour to have Rohan and the Sidecar team behind our bar to create something truly memorable for our guests."

Ranveer added, "The MASTI x Sidecar takeover represents a fantastic opportunity for us to reach a new audience here in Dubai. Dubai is a dynamic city with a thriving bar culture. MASTI is at the forefront of this industry, and we are delighted to be able to partner with the team for this highly anticipated bar takeover. We look forward to bringing our artisanal concoctions to visitors to MASTI, where they can try a true taste of India."
